Manchester United 0 – 2 Paris Saint-Germain | UEFA Champions League – Round of 16 – 1st Leg – Match Highlights
1. 53′ 0 – 1 Presnel Kimpembe side-footed volley from Di Maria’s corner for lead! Should Presnel Kimpembe have been sent off by now? You could make a case. But now he puts PSG into the lead! Basic stuff really, Angel di Maria bends in the corner, it’s not attacked and the centre-half meets it at the far post, side-footing in a volley into the roof of the net. A bit like Thierry Henry v Brazil, 2006.
2. 60′ 0 – 2 Kylian Mbappé scores visitors’ second goal with slide in for Di Maria’s cross! Massive goal! Centre-halves Eric Bailly and Victor Lindelof have the best seats in the house as Kylian Mbappe sprints inbetween them to meet a peach of a cross from Angel di Maria and slip it under David de Gea. Clinical, clinical stuff, and a great piece of wing play from the former United man. Two away goals.
3. 89′ 0 – 2 Paul Pogba red card as Man Utd misery worsens against PSG. What’s the reverse of the icing on the cake? Referee Daniele Orsato has been dishing out bookings like they are going out of fashion and Paul Pogba is off! It’s not a clever challenge, high and late and he’s shown a second yellow. He doesn’t want to go but off he trudges, down the tunnel. He’ll miss the second leg. And they’ve sold Fellaini.
